Online Storage

Have you ever have problems sharing big file with your friends or with the whole world? Sending through email? Upload to the hosting sites? We are talking about file size more than 10 MB here.

ysi_logo.jpg Most email accounts either free or paid will only handle up to 10 MB per email. I’ve experience sent email slightly over 10 MB using gmail. But that’s the limit. You don’t talk about sending email 30 MB or 50 MB. After surveying few sites, I found out that YouSendIt will help you to send up to 100 MB of file to the recipient. It helped me a lot and it might help you too.

b3.gif Regarding the online storage, there are quite numbers of online storage sites out there that are current providing this service. However, after a short survey, I would like to recommend you to use 4shared. I’ve used 4shared to host my large files to be shared as download link in my website. This site give you free 5 GB of storage with the limitation of 100 MB per file. Trust me, if you want to find a free file hosting site, this is among the best.

Other file hosting sites that you might be interested …

Note: 110mb.com is a free web hosting site which I is fully recommended.

Reminder:
Typical file hosting sites will delete inactive accounts within a specified period of time, unless you buy the paid account. For instance, 4shared will delete the free account if it is not active within 30 days. To avoid this to happen, just go and login to your account every week or just pay for it of course! Also, some sites will delete the file if it is not active, but 4shared will keep your file as long as your account is active.
